Overview of NIT new office & plant site in Kuantan

NIG Timur Sdn Bhd (NIT), Malaysia's East Coast Gas operations, commenced construction of its 2-storey office, warehouse and industrial gas filling plant at Gebeng, Kuantan on 01 April 2009. The new building and its facilities is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2009.

The new NIT facilities will support the full range supply of industrial products and gases which are used in the marine, oil & gas and pipeline fabrication industry in the eastern region of Malaysia.

The total land size for this new office & plant is approximately 110,000 sq ft whereby 28,000 sq ft is set aside for an additional dissolved acetylene plant in the near future. Together with the existing dissolved acetylene plant in the central region, the new plant will further strengthen our foothold in the gas business and to increase efficiency through timely delivery to our customers in the East Coast of Malaysia.
