The 62^nd Annual Assembly and International Conference of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) was held for the first time in Singapore in 2009 from 12 – 17 July 2009 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. It was a meeting for welding experts and practicing professionals from all over the world to congregate and exchange pointers on the latest in welding technology. Leeden Limited, together with FSH Welding Group, was proud to be the silver sponsor for this premier event. Leeden Limited was also involved in the organization of the event as part of the IIW 2009 Organizing Committee.

With over 600 participants in attendance, the Assembly and Conference was a great success, with accolades pouring in from many of the seasoned delegates who all agreed that this was one of the best shows, if not the best, ever done in the history of the Assembly. It was not all work and no play, as the 3 Social Nights: Opening Ceremony, Singapore Night and the Gala Banquet, allowed the delegates to wine, dine and dance the night away at the end of each long work day.

Leeden's hospitality was ever present throughout the whole Assembly and even at the Social Programs. Leeden also took part in the exhibition, where our staff presented our company's products and services to the IIW 2009 delegates who came to visit our booth.

As one of the main sponsors and also part of the IIW 2009 Organizing Committee, Leeden was proud to have been part of an event that placed Singapore prominently on the world map and etch an indelible mark in the minds of the delegates, who left charmed and happy, savoring the memories of the past week.
