On 4 May 2010, Leeden and UVEX Safety Group jointly presented a technical seminar on Experiencing Safety Through Innovation at The New Asia Bar, Swissotel The Stamford. The keynote speaker of this talk was Mr Colin Jorgensen, South Western Regional Sales Manager from UVEX Australia.

The seminar was unveiled with a series of Product Analysis Demonstrations (Anti – Fog Test, Anti – Scratch Test, Visible Light Test and “Variomatic” Smart Coating System) by the Leeden’s Safety Division.  The team demonstrated how the range of UVEX eyewear products could provide effective personal protection in various work environments.

The participants found the session informative, beneficial and relevant. Mr. Jorgensen’s provided an insightful presentation on topics relating to the Advancement of Eyewear and Technology, Industry Hazards / Injuries Related to PPE Products. He engaged the audience by sharing how UVEX technology benefits end-users through advanced optics and hearing by science.  Optics Technology includes Coating Technology, Lens Technology, Frame Technology and also the next generation technology – higher order aberration – which explores to improve vision like driving in twilight.  Some other UVEX’s protective products like disposable hearing protection plugs and sil-Wear vibatec were also introduced.  The sil-Wear vibatec series are disposable coveralls with an antibacterial surface.

At the end of the seminar, a token of appreciation was presented to Mr Colin Jorgensen who contributed his valuable time with the participants. UVEX Safety Group also took the opportunity to congratulate Leeden for being its Sole Platinum Distributor in South East Asia.
