Highlights for 2010

1. 

   Leeden Marks Debut Presence In East Coast Of Malaysia With Official Opening Of New Gas Facility In Kuantan

   Leeden Limited is pleased to announce the completion of its gas refilling facility for NIG Timur Sdn Bhd in Kuantan, Malaysia, occupying a total land area of 2.48 acres, with 28,000 square feet set aside for an additional Dissolved Acetylene plant in the near future.

   Leeden’s Growing Foothold In Industrial Gas

   Leeden’s existing specialties- welding products, industrial gas and safety equipment are complementary in business nature and enable the Group to actively participate in our customers’ supply chain processes to provide integrated solutions. Particularly, the market demand for industrial gas continues to be encouraging and we seek to harness the Group’s business synergies and economies of scale as we grow our market presence in this segment.

   Leeden Opens Lianyungang Henglong Waste Water Treatment Plant in China

   On 17 May 2010, Leeden Limited’s associated company, Lianyungang Henglong Water Co.’s Waste Water Treatment Plant was officially opened at Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, China.

   Leeden Opens New Fire Extinguisher Manufacturing Plant In Jiangyan, China

   Leeden is proud to announce the opening of a new manufacturing plant in Jiangyan, China – Jiangyan Eversafe Fire Equipment Co., Ltd.  The plant is equipped with the latest technology and will commence exporting fire extinguishers to a readily available market in Europe, USA, Australia and the Middle East.

   Leeden – Total Integrated Welding Solutions Provider

   The Leeden Group’s industrial division has manufacturing capabilities in not just welding but gas and safety, allowing it to provide integrated solutions for all three types of product as well as capture large segments of the market.

   UVEX Awards Leeden - Platinum Strategic Partner

   On 7 May 2010, Mr Andreas Dammann, Director of UVEX Asia Pacific Australia presented Leeden’s Safety Division with the Platinum Strategic Partner Award – an endorsement which acknowledges Leeden as the key strategic partner of UVEX in developing the market in the North East and South East Asia region.

   ‘Experiencing Safety Through Innovation’ – Jointly Presented By Leeden And UVEX

   On 4 May 2010, Leeden and UVEX Safety Group jointly presented a technical seminar on Experiencing Safety Through Innovation at The New Asia Bar, Swissotel The Stamford. The keynote speaker of this talk was Mr Colin Jorgensen, South Western Regional Sales Manager from UVEX Australia.

   Safety In Welding Processes And Environments

   On 27 April 2010, Leeden jointly organized a technical talk with Singapore Welding Society on “Safety in Welding Processes & Environments”. The talk was held at The Pod, National Library Building and Mr. Magnus Hammarlund, Sales Director Asia from Nederman, was the keynote speaker.

   CRC-EVANS (Pipeline Equipment Division) Recognizes 32 Years of Successful Partnership with Leeden

   On the 11 March 2010, Mr Fred Lysak, President of CRC–EVANS (Pipeline Equipment Division), presented a plaque to Mr. Steven Tham, CEO of Leeden, in recognition of the 32 years of business relationship between CRC-EVANS (Pipeline Equipment Division) and Leeden Limited.

    Leeden Visits SWAMI Home

    In Singapore, Leeden organized a community service visit to SWAMI (Sunshine Welfare Action Mission) Home on Saturday, 10 April 2010 as a part of Leeden's initiative to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism through community engagement programmes.

    30 Years Partnership With Nederman, Sweden

    Leeden Limited was presented with a wooden plaque to mark 30 years of rewarding partnership with Nederman on the 2 March 2010. Mr Per-Ove Eriksson (VP Sales International), flanked by Mr Magnus Hammarlund (Sales Director Asia) from Nederman, Sweden presented the plague to Mr Philip Chan.
12. 

    Leeden Expands Gas Operations In Penang With Opening Of New DA Plant

    NIU has further expanded its operations in Penang with the fully operational DA  Plant on 22 Jan 2010. The new DA Plant placed NIU at the forefront of  the Gas supplies industry as it is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and  is the largest DA Plant in the northern region of Malaysia.
